Please join us Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 10 am until 1 pm for our quarterly Adopt-A-Highway trash pickup along our Highway 176 corridor to keep one of the main gateways into our county clean from litter and debri.

As part of NCDOT’s Adopt-A-Highway program, Friends of East Flat Rock has adopted the 2-mile section of Spartanburg Highway (US Hwy 176) from the intersection of East/West King Street to the US 25 connector.

ℹ️ Volunteers must be at least 12 years old and children 12-17 must be supervised by an adult who is at least 21 years old. NCDOT provides participants safety training, safety vests and trash bags.

👉🏻 OPTION FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN: While children under 12 are not allowed on the highway, we are planning a clean-up at the same time at East Flat Rock Park. It’s a great way to teach children how to care for their home and environment.
